What is veritree?
veritree is a restoration platform dedicated to restoring our ecosystems, protecting habitats, boosting wildlife and sequestering carbon through the planting of trees. veritree provides its partner organizations with end-to-end transparency—validating, monitoring and analyzing tree planting efforts so we can track our impact in real time.
The importance of reforestation
The world’s forests absorb an estimated 15 billion tons of CO2 per year. And did you know that 20% of all greenhouse gas emissions are the result of deforestation? Trees also play a key role in capturing rainwater and reducing the risk of natural disasters. A single mature evergreen tree can intercept more than 15,000 liters of water each year. This is why planting trees makes such a big difference.
