MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tony Rooney, vice president and chief information officer at Hammermill’s parent company, Sylvamo, has been recognized for developing an IT organization for a successful transformative company at the 2023 Manufacturing Leadership Council Awards.
The award highlights Rooney’s leadership in creating an IT organization capable of fully supporting Sylvamo post-spinoff and simplifying, modernizing and pursuing a cloud-based strategy to provide greater agility by enabling quick deployment of workloads based on customer needs.
